Welcome to the Ardmore Avenue Library

Children in Kindergarten through Sixth grade come to the Library once a week where we focus on four areas: the Love of Reading, Digital Citizenship, Information Literacy Skills, and Technology. Once a year for a report period (9-12 weeks), classes come to the Library twice a week. At this time, one of those periods is spent in the computer lab.

We combine four areas described below to provide a learning experience that prepares children to be global citizens and life-long learners by giving them the skills to ask the questions, and find the answers by using the print and digital materials available in the library.

Digital Citizenship: Understand and practice appropriate and safe uses of technology.

Information Literacy: Engages in the information literacy process: access, evaluate and communicate information and ideas, Engages in the information literacy process: access, evaluate, and communicate information and ideas,Uses a variety of skills and strategies to comprehend nonfiction and informational text.
